Practices

At Schroer Cattle Company, we raise and finish our homegrown cattle with homegrown products. We offer bulk beef packages, bundles, and jerky.

Our animals are considered grass-raised, corn-finished. During the spring and summer months, our cattle spend the majority of their time in the pasture grazing. During the rest of the year, they graze corn stalks and are supplemented with alfalfa/grass hay. When it is time to finish, they are fed a corn protein mix to get the tenderness and marbling we enjoy in our meat. Our operation also consists of crop production, so we can provide everything “on the farm” they need year-round.
